Hello all!
After a few months of playing with you I feel the need to meet you, if you'd like to that is. It was suggested a month or two ago that we meet at the Blizzcon but some might not be able to attend because it's too short of a time to plan for. So I got it in my head to plan a few months in advance, pick a place that is somewhat central for most and we all get together for some food, drinks and conversation. Unfortunately, for me, most of our members that I know of live on the east coast. So, I've decided to make the meeting place Pittsburg PA at the Hyatt Place Pittsburg Airport. I've spoken with the staff there and they have a decent sized restaurant, a bar and meeting rooms if so many show up that we'll need one. I'll be flying in from Oregon so I'm very dedicated here to meet each and every one of you if you have the time and can afford it. There's no pressure here, no scoldings if you can't attend. I've made so many friends here at Nightmare and I want to meet them in person, shake their hands or give them a hug. The date for this event is November 7th, 2009 at 5pm. If all goes as planned, it'll start at 5 and if I know my members, it'll go till the wee hours of the morning. lol If something changes I'll make a posting with an update, but once I've confirmed that at least 6 will attend, I'll book it and we'll be on our way. If you're planning to attend, I would ask for you to contact me at cuulbeans@verizon.net and put your main toon name in the subject header in case verizon decides that you're a spammer.
I hope that many of you will attend and I look forward to meeting all of you. Dress attire is casual, although if you know me at all, I'll probably be there with bells on lol

Hey all,
I've gotten several complaints that our teampeak server is down and continues to be a problem and an inconvenience. I apologize for this, however it is free to use and since no one has actually put money down to pay for anything, we ask that you have a little understanding and patience so we can get it back up and running. I'm attempting to contact our administrator, so we can hopefully have a backup vent server in case this continues to be a problem. Thank you for your time,

Hey all,
Over the last month or so I've been noticing some users, obviously not in the guild putting ads for Viagra and such in our forums. Since I'm not the website designer, I have no idea how to stop these things from happening. All I can do is go in, delete their postings and ban them from our site. I wanted to apologize for their postings, we try and keep it a clean, family like website, but we do get the occasional problem. I appreciate your patience in me trying to deal with it. I have a couple of ideas to fix this in the future, but I'm going to run it by the officers before I implent it. I'll keep you posted.

Just kidding. Only change that has been made is that Cobrakaii, my Death Knight is now GM instead of my Rogue that I've gotten bored with and only use to pick the locks you keep sending me. Whew, talk about a run-on sentence! However, there is a couple of things I wanted to discuss with y'all if you had a moment. I can't put this into a guild message of the day so hopefully you'll have time to read it here.
1. Back in the day when we first got started as a guild we were a casual leveling guild. Play when you want to play, have fun while you're here, let's get to 80 for some end-game content and instance raids and such. As time went by and we got some more seasoned members it was suggested that we become a more hard-core guild that recruits ACTIVE players only, the "play or be kicked" philosophy became policy and I let this happen, but no longer. As of Saturday May 16th, we are now back to a leveling guild and will take all players: New, experienced, any level, class, race and gender. We can still shoot for 80 and get that end-game stuff, but we can also "let the kids play" meaning let anyone and everyone enjoy the game and the guild again. This is now policy, so officers beware lol.
2. Since I've been unemployed 4 months now, I decided that I need to make a change in my life so as of today, I'm going to night school in the medical field. This means I'll be online a lot less during the week. Resplendence, Liktenstein, Vulshok and Spinja will be the people you'll be needing to talk to in my absence. They'll be just as good at answering your questions and/or helping you out. I've spoken to all of them and they're all on board.

Frequently Asked Questions? I've been asked these so many times I thought I'd put a forum posting in here to answer your questions. If there's anything I missed, let me know.
1. How do I get promoted in this guild and what rank do I start out in?
All new recruits start as a Temptation. This is an inactive/initiate rank. As you level through general playtime, help others and donate to the guild bank, you will be promoted. The next promotion will be to the Nightmare rank. This will get you access to the guild bank as well.
2. Is donating to the guild bank mandatory?
No. Donations are voluntary and appreciated, but it will not guarantee you a promotion. We are not like other guilds where you must donate or you will be kicked. It's simply not our policy.
3. What is our kick policy?
The kick policy is no longer in effect. I might kick at 3 months or so, but I haven't decided.
4. What is the alt policy?
We allow 4 alts per main in the guild now. I have a guild banking toon and 2 alts myself, but I've removed other alts in the guild because they're not active. We ask that if you wish to keep alts in the guild that they stay active as well.
5. What's the deal with the alts vs. actual members?
In the past we had members bringing in alts and not telling us about it. This is a lack of respect for the guild and its members. By having two "members" in the guild instead of 1 member and 1 alt, that person would have more access to the guild bank taking out twice as much stuff. True, we could replace the entire bank inventory in a day probably, but it's not fair to the other members when one or more people are being dishonest.
6. Is Cobrakaii going to be my main?
Yes, the switch has been made.
